So worth the $. The character of the building was excellent, and the food divine! The duck a l'orange was perfection. Also had the shrimp and crab app, with Thai chili sauce which was perfect. Also the homemade salad dressing was so yummy. Passed on desert because I was so full.

The owners of this restaurant can certainly afford to run an elitist establishment but they do not. They along with their staff are completely down to earth and friendly. The food was incredible but it's all about the environment. Old Marco charm, warm, cozy (but don't let it fool you--the restaurant is very large and accommodating!) and just a wonderful place to dine. We had only met Lisa and Denis once before but they acted like we are regulars and made us feel right at home. Lisa's laugh is infectious!! And Shannon was happy to tell me about the apparent ghost. I do see floating orbs on my two videos so that was entertaining. Can't wait to go back again.

Food was excellent, escargot delicious and black groper was prepared to perfection. Service was superb, with Pavel going above and beyond to explain dishes and history behind the place. Highly recommend this place...

Lovely fine dining restaurant in Marco. My fiance and I dined here and found it to be a romantic spot with great service. The food was delicious and fairly priced. We both had filet done just to our liking paired with a wonderful wine suggestion.

We have been in Marco for 20+ years. We have been eating at Bistro since they opened and have always had an outstanding meal. Best service on the island as well. Would recommend this to everyone. You won't be disappointed!!!

Went here for Happy hour. We have to agree with another review bar staff was rude. Don't deal with the bartender Shannon. Arrognant and check your bill. He said they wouldn't serve food at the bar when they have s bar menu sitting there. We frequented this place to hear Sabrina sing, fantastic, but sorry we along with several if our friends will never go there again! Maybe if we hear that Shannon is no longer there!!

Excellent French food - an amazing find. The chef, Denis Meurgue, came out at the end of the meal and spoke with us personally. He is incredibly friendly, and the skill shows in the careful preparation of each dish. They offer a $4.99 Happy Hour with many of the appetizers we had at dinner: Saumon Fume fait maison - Homemade smoked salmon served w. toasted country bread Escargot- Sizzling escargots cooked in an aromatic garlic herb butter Moules Provencales - Prince Edward Island mussels steamed w. herbs, garlic & white wine We also had: Risotto aux champignons - Wild mushroom risotto scented w. white truffle oil & Chorizo - this was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Cassolette Fruits de Mer Shrimp, scallops, mussels, crab meat, crunchy veggies & mushrooms, in a saffron cream sauce, slightly gratinée w. parmesan cheese Canard à l''orange slowly roasted crispy Long Island duck a l''orange 26 Steak frites It was all exceptional. A great place for a nice family meal or romantic dinner. You will not be disappointed.

We visited this restaurant based on feedback from other Yelpers, and we're so glad we did! As mentioned, they have a great $4.99 happy hour with special appetizers offered at that price, plus half-off well drinks. Call for the exact hours of the happy hour, as it varies a bit by season, but definitely take the time to go. The food is fantastic -- good taste and generous portions. The drinks are strong, too! To top it off, we enjoyed live music in this beautiful, historic setting!

Not sure why nobody has written a review of this place. Food was excellent, make sure you ask about the specials. Wine and dessert were just as good as the main course.

We went for Easter brunch this year. I can say we will not return. The food was good, not great. The eggs Benedict was cold. The carving station was nice. The down side to it all? The floors are extremely unsafe. There was a hole at the end of the ramp that not only did numerous people in our party trip on but just about everyone that went by did as well. There's no "careful" sign and if you think to grab the railing good luck, it's about to fall apart. Charging children under ten years of age $30 for brunch is obscene. My 7 year old ate the equivalent of 2 scrambled eggs and a 1/4 of a waffle, for $30!! I've only paid that price at Disney when a character visited the table or there was some sort of entertainment. We didn't even hear piped in music. At the $49 adult price it would have been nice to receive a complimentary mimosa or glass of champagne. The complimentary coffee and tea that was advertised was never offered and the one person that asked for it never received it. The service was pretty bad but we were still charged 20% gratuity. I was really looking forward to our family Easter brunch here but was very disappointed.

I visit Marco during the Holidays and was so delighted to find this hidden gem. I can't believe after all the years I've visited I never came across this place. The service was awesome, ask for Shannon he's the best and such a delight. I will definitely be back next year!

We went for dinner after checking out the reviews in Yelp and Tripadvisor. I ordered the Onion Soup which was really good, my husband ordered the lobster bisque which was average nothing out of this world. Then we ordered the beef carpaccio and I have to say it wasn't good at all. Besides the fact that is was cut thick it was bland. For entree we order the crab risotto and I couldn't be more disappointed. It looked like a soup with way too much cheese. I barely ate it. For dessert we order the chocolate soufflé and it was excellent. It made it up for the entrée. The manager asked us how was the food and we told her and at they remove the dessert from the check which was nice. Also please come with a lot of time and not starving because everything took forever. Overall it was an average meal, expected more after reading the reviews.

Don't always go by what you read. Versions of things get skewed. Experience it for yourself and then see. Peace to all.

Authentic French cuisine. Breakfast was probably the best on the island. The service was great. Maria anticipated our needs and delivered our food hot and ready to eat. I had the eggs Benedict . My wife had salmon over salad. Bravo, Belisimo, Tre bene.

This was one of the worst meals we have had here on Marco Island. Service was very slow. I looked forward to the liver on the menu, when it arrived, one large piece could not be cut. Too much grizzle! The oven potatoes were so hard and over cooked, they were not good! We arrived at 7:30pm, so food should be freshly cooked! Ours was not. My husband had their "signature" dish. The fish was cooked too long and very dry. Too many great restaurants on Marco to choose this one!

Service was awful. Bar staff was rude and very delayed. I would never go back and recommend you don't either. It was a terrible experience We sat for an hour and a half before we got our appetizer menus We did not get the happy hour prices for all our drinks, even though we were the very first people in the bar. We were told that they no longer have happy hour appetizers. We left at 7:30 without getting our appetizers--keep in mind we walked in at 5:30--first ones in the place.

Introduced our friends to Bistro Soliel last weekend. They enjoyed the escargot in garlic herb butter, so much so that bread was stuffed into the dish, soaking up every delicious drop! The special was filet mignon topped with a warm blue cheese sauce....need I say more? The cocktails and ambience are always perfect.

The food was good; however as new vegans, we found it tough to find much to eat. However - and this is HUGE - the owner/manager and wait staff all came around to help us brainstorm possible lunch options for us. So, 5 stars for the staff/chef and owners for making this place great.
